Imâm Muhammad ibn Idrîs ash-Shâfi'î (150/767–204/820), the founder of the Sunni school of law named after him, says in one of his poems:

I rely, with regard to my provision, upon Allah, my Creator,
and I know most certainly that Allah is doubtlessly my Provider.

What is destined for me as provision will not escape me,
even if it were at the very bottom of the sea.

Allah, the Almighty, in His grace, will bring it,
even if my tongue were not to utter it.

Why then should the lower soul (nafs) lament,
when the Most Merciful has already distributed the provision of the creatures?
